Thanks to UIP, I was lucky enough to get a pair of free tickets for the preview screening of Despicable Me!!! I watched it with baby on the 7th Jul (1 day before official screening) and in 3D!! Seriously, I thought that since its free tickets, they would just give me normal tickets. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the minions in the movies. They are so CUTTEEEE….. Very loyal, naïve, funny and cute-looking. I love simple creatures! Like myself! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA…
My parents treated me to dinner at Kenny Roger’s @ Novena Square while Isaac was in Bintan. =( I used to love Kenny’s a lot! You wouldn’t have imagined my craziness over their macaroni cheese. Frank speaking, I have never left Kenny’s without having their mac cheese. I know I am a little weird. Most people go there for their chicken but for me, it’s their mac cheese.
Desserts at Häagen-Dazs
Since, we are at Novena, my parents naturally remembered that they have an Udder MAO SHAN WANG durian ice-cream fanatic as a daughter. However, I felt bad to make my dad walk all the way to United Square and forsake his favourite Häagen-Dazs. As you can see from the picture, we are such a chocolaty family! Belgium chocolate, tiramisu, Cappucino chocolate and a chocolate something (can’t remember the name!). Anyway, I was quite amazed to discover that Häagen-Dazs serves Sushi ice-cream (ice-cream made and shaped to look like sushi). They look like real sushi!!!
Finally, Isaac came back on Saturday for his driving test. And YIPPIE! He passed! Now I have a chauffeur!! Woohoo!!!
Brunch at Hediard. The Hediard breakfast set which comes with 2 drinks – orange juice and tea/coffee
My creamy scrambled eggs set and I ordered a William pear nectar because I’ve never had nectar before!! I don’t really like it though, I wonder whether it’s because of the cooked pear taste or I am just not a nectar person. =(
I was being madly happy at the idea of a chauffeur so I kept taking pictures of him at Hediard. Love the four fruits tea!
Even since we stumbled upon the poster of TCC’s buy 1 get 2 free promotion (buy 1 main and get 1 main and a drink free), we have been wanting to dine with them! We never had mains at TCC before so it is a good opportunity to taste and see whether they are worth dining at.
We tried their Mentaiko pasta with Tataki salmon and Seafood Aglio Olio. Both Isaac and I were looking forward to the Seafood Aglio Olio because it looks good in the picture. The Mentaiko pasta was a pleasant surprise as the sauce goes well with the pasta and the combination is heavenly! Although the salmon is mediocre, it was really soft and I like it that way. The prawns and scallops in the Seafood Aglio Olio were really fresh! Well-cooked! Delicious! As for the pasta, it is very spicy and with a weird taste. I am not sure whether it’s because I had the Mentaiko pasta before I proceeded with the Aglio Olio but there was a slight hint of ….I-don’t-know-what! To me, it should be some herb that has a scent-like taste. It would be a nice scent if it is included in skincare, cosmetics or even perfumes. However, in food, it’s a little revolting to me since I felt like I was munching on skincare, cosmetics etc. You get the picture. But still, I am willing to give it another try! Heehee… >.<
