jobless and penniless

Yes! I am officially jobless and penniless and I rot all day long at home. Sigh…

I have the urge to add loveless as well but that would be unfair to Isaac since he is starting to get busy trying to clear his community service before graduation and mug hard for his mod term subjects.

To be frank, I don’t mind staying home, play my games and cook a couple of times a week for my family (since time is all I have…) but I feel panicky deep down. I have such low self esteem and feel that I will be jobless for a long while. Thus, I have a strong feeling that I need to send out multiple resumes but never able to achieve it due to my lack of diligence. I kept talking about it to my parents to prepare them that I might not be able to end up in a job even at the end of the year. That is how pessimistic I am.

Almost everyone I met kept asking me to take my time to look for a job and not to worry but I kept feeling worried about it. Its like I am floating in the air dangerously now, unable to reach heaven and unable to touch down on land. By the way, I am not saying landing in a job is heaven… I am just trying to show how disturbed I am. It’s funny that no one is bugging me to get myself a job but I am pressurizing myself to end up in one soon.

I guess I should try to calm myself down and take things one at a time. My parents are so nice. Not only did they not bug me, they even wanted to bring the whole family on a holiday after my dad’s exhibition in June. So so nice! Yesterday, my lazy daddy willingly walked from Novena Square to United Square for my Mao shan wang ice cream. I know the distance isn’t a lot but my dad would definitely prefer to stay at Novena Square and get his ice cream from Häagen-Dazs than to walk all the way to United Square for Udders.

But too bad for him, he got himself an ungrateful daughter who, despite his act of love, decided to take his unglam ice-cream eating picture.

However, lucky for him, he is not the only one who is so ill-fated, TADA! Mr. Mugger munching his Wendy’s burger.

And that isn’t the only picture.

Muahahahhaha…

Oh! Say hello to Mr. Mugger’s private Kit-Kat delivery girl! Part of my evil plan to make him fat… Woohoo!

But I guess, my plan backfired and he has successfully increased my weight with these fascinating and delectable food. =(

The hot chocolate from McCafe is really amazing! I didn’t know they are so professional! Just look at the way the foam is made into an art piece! The tea set by TCC is good. Love the cream cheese! Teehee… I am sucha sucker for cheese…

super junior

I just saw a short introduction about Super Junior. Many may have fallen for them for their “Sorry Sorry” which was popular for quite long and captivated by their looks. To me, I only notice and like them after this song.

Super Junior – It’s you

And recently they came out with a subgroup called Super Junior M for the Chinese audience which i think essentially is China. LOL.

But, I think I still prefer It’s you. HAHA… I prefer not to understand what I am listening. LOL!!!

Anyway, Girls’ Generation’s Oh is pretty good but still not as catchy as Gee.

Sigh… I am trying to de-stress with all these songs. =(

The last lesson in SMU

Today is my final lesson in SMU although I feel that it hasn’t sink in for me. I don’t really feel particularly elated although I am at the end of it.

All the competitive beings with cocky and arrogant airs.

People trying to look harmless with their innocent tones but in actual fact, they are bragging in the name of “sharing information”.

I am so sick of this whole culture and propaganda that keep telling you that you need to be the best, one of the most successful beings in Singapore if not, the world. Everyone around you dream big and is ambitious, confident that they will be climbing up the corporate ladder and earning big bucks in the future. But, i haven’t met anyone in SMU who possess a propensity for social or charity work. It seems like the whole SMU culture is so skewed towards being big and successful that the whole school seems to be a huge materialistic beings breeding ground.

Enough of SMU for now!

Well, to mark the end of my SMU lessons, Isaac and I went for a sumptuous dinner after my class. He ate at this ramen place called IPPUDO SG with his friends a couple of months ago and he finds it delicious. So we decided to head down to IPPUDO SG at Mandarin Gallery. I guess it must be really good or the buzz around it is tremendous, because the queue is quite long when we reached at 6plus.

The design of the restaurant is good and spacious, creating good ambience. It has this really pretty and huge contemporary ballroom ceiling light and a wall filled with bowls from all the different IPPUDO outlets around the world. They also had a comic strip introducing IPPUDO’s ramen in 3 different languages – Chinese, Japanese and English. I  like the ambience but I think its because we are lucky to get a seat on our own. There are slightly more unappealing seats where you need to share the table with other people or sit at the counter and face the chef as you take your ramen.

Isaac and I ordered two different ramen and a wagyu beef side dish. I don’t really find the beef that nice because it’s quite difficult to chew. I ordered the spicy soup base (Karakamen) with medium ramen. Isaac ordered their special miso paste soup (Akamaru) with soft ramen. But later, he added another bowl of hard ramen for $2. Both of us added Kakuni (special braised pork) and a flavoured egg (a whole egg!) to our ramen. I really like the soft and the hard ramen as the medium ramen tasted like mee kia to me. I prefer the Karakamen soup base as compared to the Akamaru soup base. I suppose maybe it’s due to the spicy factor. But, the Akamaru soup has a very strong taste of pig trotters collagen (if you get what I mean…).  For me, what is a MUST TRY is the kakuni!!! It has a mild coffee taste though. Teehee…

Last but not least, we have Ms. Blur Blur and Mr. Mugger here displaying the Dior Addict – Ultra Gloss Reflect in colour 567. Heehee… I forced him to let me apply the gloss on him. HEEHEE… I am so mean. >.<
