it is setting in…

I guess slowly but surely, I start to feel the lifestyle changes after Isaac started working. Hmmm… for one, very obviously, during weekday nights, he seems more lethargic and tired on the phone (we would call each other every night…). Our meeting days got lesser. It isn’t very hard to adapt to the loss in meeting time but it is harder to adapt to his lack of energy.

I mean he is not a round-the-clock joker. But definitely, he isn’t someone who is boring to talk to, at least to me. Maybe it’s work and stress over whether he can perform his work well, he seems to be less humorous and lame (in the funny way) as compared to before working. It seems like on weekday nights, to get him to display some energy, the only topics are serious ones.

Oh well, I hope he can faster adapt to his working life and bring back some of his humor. ;) But I think it will be tough since his part-time masters course is going to start in August. :(

Anyway, I found a picture of my cousin’s tea ceremony in my digicam. But, you can only see the back of the newlyweds and part of my parents. HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA…. But there are numerous crystals on the bride’s gown that I wondered aloud to another cousin beside me, whether the bride would be afraid to sit and such for fear of the crystals falling apart from her gown. Of all questions on a wedding day, why was I only capable of thinking of that? -_-

Another lucky day spent with baby on Tuesday as she took time off work for an interview. With baby, its another foodies’ day! HAHA… Too bad, baby doesn’t have a blog or take time to capture her food. If she is at it, she will be more of a foodie than me. LOL…

We shared a bowl of Oyster mee sua from Shilin Taiwan Snacks and a bowl of fishball noodles from E.A.T. (I am not sure of the name but it is definitely popular and all around the island nowadays). Then we had privé with a tea each and Eggs Benedict (classic with ham) for her and Eggs Royale (a variant that replaces ham with smoked salmon) for me. Then it’s dinner at Ajisen with Peter and desserts at Ben and Jerry. LOL… Another someone who is behind my fats.

As there are no coffee places near the company that baby had an interview with and the weather was hot, I stayed in her car. And since I was on a lookout for the “parking coupon checker”, I didn’t dare to read my book. So I ended up with camwhoring as I waited for her. After countless shots, this picture shocked me. It looked the least like me. Definitely, there are fugly pictures and not as ugly ones but they all looked like me. But this picture below, looked like someone else and it scares me a little. :S

Finally met up with Isaac yesterday (although perhaps he wouldn’t agree with the usage of finally since we last saw each other on last Sunday), and Crystal Jade was it.

Isaac and I (with my ugly hair-do =( ) and all the sources of saliva excretion.

I really love the noodle although it has nothing in it except shredded fried onion. If I am not wrong, it should be called something like la mian with onion oil. Ever since I tried it, no other la mian in Crystal Jade or Imperial Treasure’s La Mian Xiao Long Bao menu has been able to take over its number one position. And I didn’t fancy Ding Tai Fung because they didn’t have this la mian flavor. Another of my recommendation is their dessert - soufflé balls with banana and red bean paste.

The pan fried Shanghainese pork bun was a flop. I didn’t like these pan fried buns after tasting them zillion years ago. Hence, when I was in Shanghai, I didn’t try them either. However, according to Isaac, these buns are beyond amazing when he had them in Shanghai. So I decided to give them another chance. But sad to say, these buns from Crystal Jade didn’t live up to our expectations and re-affirmed my belief that ordering them is an irrational decision. But perhaps, I should try them when I get to go Shanghai again. ;)

That’s all folks!
