I didn’t expect it to turn out this way. Firstly, I wasn’t expecting a proposal to come along, at least not so soon. Indeed we have been talking about marriage for quite sometime but since we couldn’t conclude on certain issues and there’s plenty of uncertainties (largely from his replies), I thought it would take at least another year.

Second, I didn’t expect a proposal ring. The wedding itself will be such a huge financial burden that a proposal ring will worsen the situation. I told him that I do not need a proposal ring since he can compensate me with a better one when we are older and he is more financially abled. HEEHEE.... (Right, I am kidding!!!!! ;) )

The day started as per normal and after church service, we went to try out this Korean Army Base Stew that we have been eyeing for a while.

It comes in a set. Served with Barley tea (My FAVOURITE!!!), brown rice, 1 appetizer of your choice (we chose potato pancake), side dishes and a dessert (Bingsoo). The Army Base Stew is a combination of some of Korea’s signature snacks and side dishes. You can find their ramyeon (essentially instant noodles), leek kimchi, cabbage kimchi, ddukbokkie (Korean rice cakes or Toppokki) and more!! It was exceptionally tasty and VERY filling!

Till then, it was just another ordinary Sunday to me. What made this Sunday special was this gift that was presented to me by the end of the day.

Shocked! So stunned that at first glance (since he didn’t give it in the box), I thought it was a fake diamond ring. HAHAHAHA… (sorry Isaac! My mistake! My bad!! =) )
