La Primera Celebración:
To mark the last of my presentation for economic modules, Isaac FINALLY brought me to Aerin’s at B1 of Raffles City for a tea cum late lunch. It had been nearly a year since he mentioned that the desserts there are nice and he will bring me there someday. And alas! The day came! HAHA…
Since I am a sucker for savoury dishes, Isaac was forced to share a dish from their main courses and a dessert with me. HAHA… And say hi to the remains of our Duck Leg a la Orange. Teehee… Sorry for showing the bones with just a bit of meat. It is a delicious one! The duck leg is cooked till tender and roasted till perfection! The mashed potatoes and salad that comes with it are good as well. Pairing the duck leg with cooked orange slices enhanced the sweetness and fragrance of the roasted duck and kept the taste fresh to your taste buds! I will say it’s a MUST TRY!
Okay… now.. the old and down with dementia wendy cannot remember the exact name of this dessert. But it’s another MUST TRY! It’s served warm so be careful or you might scald your tongue. It’s like an Apple Pie with Rich Vanilla Ice-cream. They used fresh apples to cook the apples bits inside the pie. The way of cooking is like those pastry soups that Country Manna popularized. The vanilla ice-cream is extraordinary. If you notice, unlike the usual white coloured vanilla we see, this scoop is yellow! I find it more rich and creamy than the normal ones and you can even see the bits of black vanilla in the ice-cream.
La Segunda Celebración:
To commemorate the beautiful weekend and thank GOD that a frantic and hectic week of projects was over, we went to East Coast Park to cycle and for FOOD!
I have no idea what went wrong with me that evening, but I was feeling really hungry and I ordered Isaac to get me tons of food!
That’s our spread! I left out the rojak which I insisted on having after we finished our meal. HAHA… Isaac was so bloated, he seemed abit unhappy. LOL. (Maybe it’s because I forced him to share the rojak with me when he was super full alr.)
And here’s a queer picture of him. He looked so weird that it doesn’t seem like him. He looked so much older and unapproachable in this picture.
La Tercera Celebración:
To celebrate Baby’s VICTORY we dined at New York New York today. We shared a root beer float (reminds me of my childhood where our family had weekly A&W), a spare ribs with shrimps combo and a beef fajitas. If you are into Middle eastern food (specifically Turkish and more specifically kebab) and Mexican food like quesadillas, I think you will like the fajitas! The beef is served on hotplate with some onions etc. and a plate filled with spicy paste, a creamy herb paste, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese and fresh lettuce comes along with the beef. And the fajitas’ “bread” or pitas look-alike food is provided and you are to wrap your own fajitas. Yummy! And I had fun making my own fajitas. It reminds me of making my own popiahs at Chinese restaurants.
I think that’s about it! The fun is coming to an end and the work is starting real soon! Why can’t we just live to celebrate? =(
