Believe it or not the previous pizza delights post cost me at least 5 hrs and even then, I wasn’t able to post it up in a smart way.
The problem is MS Word 2007 has such a great feature that enables people to blog on word and publishes it on their blogs. Blogging on MS Word 2007 is enticing to me because of all the great editing and beautifying that can be done to my pictures but in the end I was utterly disappointed with word.
As you can see, I am blogging on blogger and apparently blogger doesn’t support image upload on its own server according to MS Word 2007 which is puzzling to me because I thought it does just that the amount of space provided isn’t much. But FINE. I will just use an external image provider and I am using photobucket by the way. Somehow I simply can’t figure out what is the source URL and upload URL that they are asking for. I’ve been surfing the web for hours and apparently, I am not the only one with this problem. But to date, there seems to be no solution.
I am pretty upset with the result. But nevertheless, I moved on and stopped harping on it. If I am not in a period with upcoming midterms and project deadlines, I would have just continued to search for solutions. Probably even email Microsoft to demand for one.
You see, the maddening thing here is that, even though word provides a list of supported blog providers, it didn’t specify any image providers. So what is the point of giving an option for externally hosting images when you don’t have a list of supported ones where people can sign up with?
So what did I do?
I did a pretty dumb thing. I think it is pretty dumb and tedious. I did up my pictures in Word the way I want them to be then I copy them individually into paint and saved them. Its dumb. I know. But it’s the only method that I could think up of after google of my brain cells got killed in the quest for MS word blogging solutions.
Then I have to upload them in photobucket and insert them into Window Live Writer which is also a blog writing software and it’s free. I think most people with the new Window Live messenger would have it in their computers just that they don’t realized it. It is a useful software although their picture editing features are limited. If you have the time, just try it! Its good as long as you don’t deal much with pictures uploading.
